On Turkey Day we give tribute to our American Indians and make sure to serve at least one dish made with corn. Everyone young and old LOVES our Corn Pudding cooked two ways, one sweet and one spicy with jalapeno. Poke us for the recipe… it’s a keeper.

- 28 pound Farm Fresh “Happy” Turkey, Brined, Stuffed and Roasted
- Ganny’s Turkey Stuffing
- Giblet Gravy
- Mashed Potatoes
- Sweet Potato Puree
- Roasted Cauliflower and Brussels Sprouts
- Steamed Green Beans, Lemon, Flake Salt
- Sauerkraut with Grated Apple
- Corn Pudding
- Creamed Onions
- Cranberry Sauce
- Snowflake Rolls
- Pumpkin, Apple and Pecan Pie with Whipped Cream
Thanksgiving Time Table
Weekend before Thanksgiving…
- Make pie doughs and freeze
- Iron table linens
- Pick up beverages, chill as needed
Tuesday…
- Pick up farm fresh “happy” turkey
- Shop for groceries
- Wash all produce
- Make turkey brine
- Set table
- Defrost pie dough in refrigerator
- Make cranberry sauce
Wednesday…
- Pick up rolls
- Make pies
- Peel potatoes and store in water in refrigerator
- Trim green beans and refrigerate
- Brine turkey in cooler overnight
- Make stuffing and refrigerate
Thursday…
Early Morning
- Pull turkey out of brine, rinse and dry well
- Stuff turkey
- Roast turkey
- Trim and halve Brussels sprouts
- Trim cauliflower
Early Afternoon
- Make corn pudding
- Make sauerkraut
- Set up bar
Late Afternoon
- Cook and mash potatoes, keep warm
- Make the gravy with turkey drippings
- Peel, roast and puree sweet potatoes
- Roast cauliflower and Brussels sprouts
- Make cream sauce for onions
Right before dinner
- Steam green beans
- Combine cream sauce and onions and heat
- Warm rolls
- Reheat corn pudding, gravy, Sauerkraut
- Rest and carve the turkey
- Open wines
- Fill water glasses
Before dessert
- Whipped cream
- Make coffee
- Pour libations
