Just Simply… Cuisine apprenticeships offer rewarding learning experiences in an established Washington DC cooking school. They are designed for natural leaders who are passionate about real food and interested in expanding their knowledge, skills and expertise.
Apprenticeships are seasonal every fall, winter, spring and summer with flexible hours based on Just Simply… Cuisine’s changing class schedule. A once a month class commitment is required.
Apprenticeships are un-paid but include perks such as cooking classes, menu tastings and garden produce. Duties include responsibilities and short-term projects in Just Simply… Cuisine’s teaching kitchen and backyard gardens. Apprentices provide support in a wide range of daily tasks including class prep and clean up, gardening, photography, blogging, social media output, networking and online communication.
We are seeking energetic, detail-oriented individuals with a basic knowledge of seasonal foods, cooking from-scratch, gardening, life in the kitchen and a vibrant appreciation for REAL food and knowing where food comes from. Previous cooking experience is a plus.
